Thorndale Family Restaurant ~Take Out ~ Dine In ~ Catering

Was great, had a small bill so I tipped them 50% of my bill. When paying I asked if I could get a refill to go as she was ringing up my bill. Was told yes and then paid. The lady starts bringing the coffee to the table I am leaving, and then say “I meant could I please get it to go” and then was told no it will be an additional $2.95. There was no customer service, the attitude was basically ya snooze ya lose. Everything was fresh, but I can’t get over the fact I wasn’t allowed too leave with a coffee after being clear that’s what I wanted. And told that I can sit or I can pay $2.95

The food was excellent very clean and friendly atmosphere. I’m 75 years old and was a waitress at one time. I have never met a waitress as friendly and welcoming as there. Problem is I forgot her name. But since I’m moving to Thorndale next week I will get to see her again.

This was my first time coming here. Was doing some work in town at the community centre. So we stopped in for lunch; I had the chicken strips and fries with the salad and a coworker of mine had the steak with veggies, mashed potatoes. Food was amazing and the service was fantastic. I love going to small towns like this, - ma & pop restaurants, and still seeing restaurants operating like this. I wish there was more around, for a small town prices are reasonable and amount of food you get is very good. The food was so fresh. I told George; the owner that I’d be coming back with my wife next time, and we’ll be trying something different. I know we’ll definitely have to try out the breakfast sometime soon. This is definitely a 5 plus star restaurant. You see some people write one star reviews on here they’re the people that just don’t know what a good restaurant is because there is nothing wrong with this place people do make mistakes. We will definitely be returning again see you guys soon.!!!!!!

Amazing food. Great service. Perfect family diner. The world needs more of the places again. Will be back next time I am near there.

Stopped in for lunch during a road trip. Super friendly service. Good homemade food. Was offered baklava for dessert and couldn't say no.

Not a fan of the dinner style but the company and food were amazing

It's a classic diner with good, home cooked food. The owner was very kind and attentive. I will return.
